S/mileage

S/mileage is Hello! Project's newest group to debut since their seniors °C-ute who had debuted in 2005. Evolved from the original group Shugo Chara Egg! who were made to support the anime Shugo Chara! and sing (2 of) the theme songs. Ogawa Saki had taken place of Shugo Chara Egg! member Saho Akari and will debut with SCE's remaining members Maeda Yuuka, Fukuda Kanon. & Wada Ayaka.


Their anticipated first debut single 'aMa no Jaku' has already released previews of their PV, an interview, and clips from their dance rehearsals. It shows much promise, but is a bit disappointing as they follow their seniors in the attempt of a more mature outlook instead of following SCE's previous cute style. [Although their dance and song seem to go to the cute girl theme the PV seems to think differently].


June 7th the full single will be released. But as of June 5th the song has made its radio debut as the girls guest star on DJ Takahashi Ai's [current leader of Hello! Project's leading group Morning Musume] radio session.





To me, the group shows a lot of promise. I feel that Sakitty can become the group's main/lead dancer since she looks most comfortable and is already at the head of the line during dance rehearsals. & If they are to choose lead vocalists I feel it's obvious Maeda Yuuka & Fukuda Kanon will take those positions.

With current most popular H!P group Buono! [consisting of most popular Berryz 工房 members: Natsuyaki Miyabi & Tsugunaga Momoko and °C-ute member: Suzuki Airi] in the lead for sales and fanbase with such a high anticipation and liking towards the upcoming group S/mileage will Buono! get the competition fans have long been waiting for?
