Korean Girl Groups Are A Trend

Like South Korea doens't have enough girl groups already?

2009 must be a super hot date for companies to debut their latest female idols.

We already have the almighty SNSD ruling, WG hitting up America, KARA trying new styles, B.E.G still kicking it with their addictive songs, 2NE1 who just debuted and brought the fire, & 4Minute to make their debut in ONE more day!

But JYP has decided to test their luck and has announced they will release another girl group with 3 members later this year since WG are in America. I guess they need another girl group to take over Korea.

A JYP representative said on the 16th, “We are currently preparing a 3-member talent group. But we have not confirmed the plans for this group yet. But they will debut this year and aim to awe everyone with their capabilities.”

Obviously this group will be highly anticipated. WG won the hearts of many, so this girl group has a lot to live up to. But with all these girl groups coming up and rising in popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if they crashed and burned. Just because they're from JYP doesn't mean they'll rock it. My expectations for them is through the roof (but maybe not as much as 4Minute). Hope they'll do JYP justice.
